We know that what election card or Voter ID actually is. In India every adult citizen both men and women above 18 years of age has right to vote. But in order to cast your vote you must have your own Election card. In India election card mainly known as Voter ID is issued by Election Commission Of India to all those citizens {of all genders] who have attained the age of 18 years. Voter ID card servers as an Identity card for Indian citizens for casting there vote in countries state, municipal and other national elections.
Eligibility for Voter ID card.
Voter id/ Election card is issued to all Indian citizens who have attained the age of 18 years.
Documents Required to apply for Voter ID card Online.
While applying for Voter ID card Online applicant has to upload two types of documents one for the proof of address and second for age proof and his or her latest photo.
Valid documents for proof of address are
Applicant has to upload any of the following document below
Nationalized/ Scheduled bank/ Revenue Departments land owning records including Kisan Bahi
Indian Passport
Driving License
Ration card
Registered rent lease deed
Income Tax assessment order
Latest water bill for that address
Telephone Bill
Passbook of at least one year old account
Latest Electricity Bill for that address
Post/ latter/mail delivered through India Postal Department
Gas connection Bill for that address
OR
Any other Valid Document having address of the applicant mentioned on that.
Valid Documents for Proof Of Age
Applicant has to upload any of the following document
Indian Passport
Certificates of class X or XII issued by CBSE, ICSE and State boards, if DOB is mentioned therein
Aadhaar Card
Birth certificate issued by any competent local body/ Municipal authorities/ Registrar of Births and Deaths
Mark Sheet of 5th or 8th class
Driving License
PAN card
HOW TO APPLY FOR ELECTION CARD/ VOTER ID CARD ONLINE.
Just follow below steps to apply for voter ID card online.
Firstly visit the official website of CHIEF ELECTORAL OFFICER JAMMU AND KASHMIR CLICK HERE
Now you will be redirected to to main page of this site just click on the ONLINE VOTER REGISTRATION
By click on Online Voter registration you will be redirected to the official webpage of National Voters Service Portal NVSP now click on LOGIN/REGISTER BUTTON
You have to create an account on NVSP portal just click on DONT HAVE ACCOUNT, REGISTAR AS A NEW USER
Here enter your mobile number and captcha and hit the SEND OTP BUTTON you will receive an OTP on your number, enter that here and click on verify.
Now Click on I don't have EPIC number and Enter your Name, Email ID and Create a Password and click on REGISTER BUTTON
Now Login with the same credentials created by you and click on LOGIN BUTTON
You have now successfully Created an account and logged in into the NVSP website. On the main page of the site click on the FRESH INCLUSION/ ENROLLMENT
Now click on I reside in India and Select you state from the list given there, and click on NEXT BUTTON
On this page enter all the requesting details and Upload Any Available Address Proof from the list and click on NEXT BUTTON
NOTE {Site supports only .jpg and .jpeg formats of maximum 2MB photos}
Now enter your Birth Details and upload Age Proof document from list and click on NEXT BUTTON
Here enter your Personal Details like Name, Gender, Fathers/ Mothers/ Husband name and upload Your Photograph and then at last click on NEXT BUTTON
Now choose if you are differently abled person, and enter your Email ID and Mobile Number{Optional}
Then click on NEXT BUTTON
Now on this step enter your place name and tap on NEXT BUTTON
Here preview of your application filled by you will be shown, now check all the details filled by you once again and then click on final SUBMIT BUTTON You can also print this application form by clicking on print.
NOW A REFERENCE NUMBER REGARDING YOUR ONLINE Application WILL SENT TO YOU VIA EMAIL JUST KEEP THAT SAFE IN YOUR PHONE
Your application has been submitted successfully and now your application details will be sent to the Concerned BLO of your area for verification and after BLO verification you will recieve an email from NVSP regarding the same and after that you can download your Electronic Voter ID by using Reference Number which you got while submitting the online application form.
